Food for Thought: Banana

Due to their high level of tryptophan (which converts into serotonin - the happy-mood brain neurotransmitter), bananas can help improve your mood and reduce PMS symptoms. They're rich in pectin which helps aid digestion by gently cleaning out toxins and heavy metals, as well as stimulating the growth of good bacteria in the bowels.
They're also high in vitamin B6 and antioxidants, helping to protect you against chronic disease and help strengthen the nervous system.
