Christmas Day was spent at a restaurant called Chris' just outside of Apollo Bay looking over the water. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here, however, the service was a little off. I think our waitress was just travelling through Australia and was picking up a little extra cash. She was really lovely, but a little too attentive, to the point that we had to keep asking her to 'come back later'. How's this for a view though....

To start off the feast, we had some olives......

I chose the whole baby squid stuffed with spinach, pinenuts, fetta and sultana's on a fresh tomato and basil salad....delicious....

For mains I chose the local green cray grilled with fresh asparagus, homemade pasta, and brandy butter sauce.....my God....this was divine, however not the most 'lady like' dish to eat (like I cared).....

To top off my already full tummy, I picked the floating islands - poached Italian meringue on strawberries in spiced riesling syrup. Little bit sweet for me, and wished I had picked the traditional plum pudding that some of the others had chose...oh well, there's always next time (maybe even later tonight...yeah!).

Finally, a yummy cup of coffee before heading off for a well earned nap. What a tough day, but I guess someone has to do it!
