Since 2019, my focus has been on healing - 100%. I went all in and I went hard. I researched, I asked all the questions and I experimented. A LOT. At the time, this was all so new and overwhelming, and not to mention time consuming and costly, but I was fully committed. Over time, some of the tools and protocols I implemented I’ve let go of, many have stayed, and where once they would cause me frustration and stress , now they have become second nature and bring me so much joy.
Today, my focus has shifted. Now I’m all about nourishing. Nourishing my cells and cell walls, to nourishing my nervous system and my soul. Bringing as much joy, love and peace into my life.
Where once my goal was to survive, now it’s about thriving - living a beautifully abundant and vibrant life, even whilst I’m still “healing”.
3 BIG factors I wish I’d known at the beginning of my healing journey I am sharing with you here as I truly believe I would have saved myself A LOT of time, stress and thousands of $$ if I had known up front.
Here they are in the simple hope that they help you, or at the very least, plant a seed for your own research and experimentation.
Food is so much more than a way to reduce hunger – it actually communicates (in either a good, or not so good way) with every cell in our body, from our hormones and immune system to our gut flora and our metabolism.
As the saying goes “We are what we eat!”
I believe we want to love and nourish our body every single day through eating an abundance of nutrient dense fresh wholefoods, that can help heal, keep dis-ease away AND allow us to live a vibrant thriving life.
Sufficient nutrient intake ensures our body has sufficient nutrient reserves, allowing for optimal immune function. This simple step, gives our body all of the tools and resources it needs to defend against any pathogens that might cross our path - which is inevitable in the world we live in today.
I’m also a believer that overall health starts with our cells. Nourishing and hydrating them and healing cell walls can help extend our health span, reduce chronic dis-ease, enhance our gut health and contribute to a vibrant life.
The combination of abundant nutrients and cell support is absolute king!
This, I believe, is one of the biggest first steps we need to take - and probably the most MISSED first step when embarking on a healing journey, or to simply feel healthy and vibrant.
By ensuring our body’s natural drainage pathways are open – toxins and pathogens can easily be removed, and NOT re-circulated in our body causing ugly symptoms and dis-ease.
For some of us, just opening these pathways can be a HUGE game changer in our overall health and may be the answer we’ve been looking for.
We simply cannot remove toxins (detox) effectively from our body if our drainage pathways are blocked. Fact!
What do I mean by Drainage Pathways?
Think of your body like a funnel - what goes in at the top (what we eat, drink, breath, absorb through our skin) drains all the way down to the bottom (our colon), where pathogens, toxins and waste products are removed on a daily basis.
If our colon is blocked – the funnel above becomes blocked and these pathogens, toxins and waste have no where to go - so they simply get re-circulated. Ick!
A large portion of symptoms that many people experience in today’s world, and where dis-ease can stem from, often have a few common factors:
Nutritional deficiencies
Cell disfunction/dehydration
Microbiome disfunction (gut dysbiosis)
Inflammation
Compromised immune/detox system
However, these are NOT root causes.
These are symptoms of something much deeper, and rather than just treating these symptoms, I like to look at the deepest root of what is causing them. When we dig and peel back the layers, we’re able to discover that the root cause(s)/primary drivers of chronic dis-ease (and these symptoms) often include:
Pathogens/Bacteria/Viruses
Hidden dental infections
Environmental Toxins
Trauma/stress
