French earthenware manufactured by the renowned Faiencerie de Gien factory - highly durable, opaque semi-porcelain developed in the 19th century.
While this plate does not have a backstamp - this was typical in the 19th and early 20th centuries, as some factories simply omitted maker's marks, or the stamps have faded entirely over time due to wear, moisture, or crazing.
Slight wear on the edges and a few little marks on the base.
